Smooth shift taking data at the psi' peak. We have finished run 5431 (inhereted from Stephen and Matteo) collecting 8.0 nb-1 and we have taken run 5432 collecting 25.65 nb-1 with a starting beam at 3.9 mA, slowly going down to 1.6mA. The jet density has been stable at .8e13 at/c for the whole run. Two drifts of the energy promptly driven back by Giulio. This is the chronology: 0:10 The energy is about 6 MeV below the psi' peak. 0:45 Jet Off to allow Giulio to bring the energy back. 1:07 Run 5431 stopped 1:35 Run 5432 begins. The energy is recovered, but when we turn the jet on the energy tends to drift down. The problem is solved by Giulio in about 20 minutes. Running at 3685.8 MeV in the cm. 3:47 The only tripping of the straws 5:37 Giulio runs a new version of P77 6:00 We pause the DAQ to raise the density (we were running with a couple of mA). We restart at 6:30, but the energy starts to drift. 6:45 We give 1.5 mA back for studies and we shut everything down. Reference at Logbook 7 pp 5 and 6. Buona notte....well buongiorno.
