E835 Weekly Meeting Minutes -- January 6, 2000 (KEG reporting) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ NOTE: Weekly Meetings are held Tuesday and Thursdays at 5pm ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Stephen Pordes reported that the hydrogen permit is almost in hand. There will be a safety walk through inspection tomorrow; hopefully, all required signatures can be applied to the document by the end of tomorrow. While the walk through is progressing, the pit air conditioner will be checked; the output is not as cold as one would expect. Martin Hu has acquired two chipmunk radiation counters. {After the meeting and prior to writing these minutes, Martin and Keith Gollwitzer installed the chipmunks on the tunnel side of the detector (on the floor) just upstream of the jet collection pump and at the back supporting ring of the CCAL. The LCD scaler display in the counting room have been reset.} The FCAL group (Seon-hee Seo, Ted Vidnovic and Matt Graham) accessed after the last meeting and fixed all light leaks. The current status is that there are four counter with a bad PMT-base combination, four signals present downstairs but not upstairs, three signals found inverted (re-cable at the base), and one bad shaper card channel. The fiber optic coupling fixtures have arrived. {Access to fix as much as possible and connection of fiber optics is occurring as these minutes are being written.} Present: Gollwitzer, Graham, Hu, Kasper, Pordes, Rosen, Seo, Stancari M, Vidnovic ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Old Weekly Meeting Minutes available through WWW http://www-e835.fnal.gov/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Disclaimer: Spelling, coherence and such are not guaranteed.
