E835 Weekly Meeting Minutes -- January 13, 2000      (KEG reporting)

	Ezio Menichetti reported that he along with P. Trapani have looked at
all of the counter signals. Three H2' signals are not present. Ezio has 
started flowing test gas in the straws and will change the Cerenkov gas
from nitrogen to CO2 (Freon will be requested from the vendor). Some work with 
the straws thresholds has started.

	Michelle Stancari reported that all CCAL signals are seen upstair
except the two known dead counters. Along with Jason Kasper, a single channel 
of ring 2 now bypasses the level I summer (downstairs) due to the summer 
channel not working. The full 1ON-1OFF test for the neutral trigger system
still needs to be completed. The FCAL 1ON-1OFF test also needs to be
completed. The FCAL high voltages need to be entered into the HV file.

	Wander Baldini reported that all 12 cassettes were tested for heat
leaks in PAB. Nine are good and are ready to be reinstalled. The heat leaks
are escaping helium gas through the cassettes (between the fibers). RTV has
been applied where possible between the fibers while one end is under a
slight vacuum. The heat loss was reduced by a factor of two. This is believed
to be now small enough that the over all heat load due to losses are tolerable
for the refrigerator engine. One more round of RTV and testing will be done.

	Stephen Pordes led a discussion concerning what steps are needed to
achieve writing inclusive psi trigger and neutral events. Outside of a working
jet target system, items listed below are what is thought to be needed 
(please comment is something is missing):
   Counter signals need to be plateau and timed prior to discriminators
   The disc signals need to be checked and timed through the Charged trigger
   The min bias signals need to be check and timed to form a strobe
   The PBG and Etot logic signals need to be checked and timed
   The overall master trigger needs to be timed into gatemaster system
   Gates need to be timed
Keith Gollwitzer showed a list of tasks to be completed in the next 3+ weeks;
the list is being sent in another email message. Configurations to write
a file, write to tape(s), and main data taking should be ready next week.
The basic experiment online monitor should be also ready next week. The lower
priority items (straws, FCAL, SCIFI, phi-phi trigger, pbarp trigger, new
charged trigger logic module) will be done when possible without interference
to getting the basic charmonium trigger system established.
