Thursday Meeting 2/16/2000 present: Stancari (G), Seo, Graham, Kasper, Rumerio, Pordes Schedule: According to Stephen according to McGinnis, the source will turn on March 1st. There will probably be supervised access till Feb 29th. Stephen reported that there had been a Nitrogen problem over the previous weekend but that the problem was now fixed. According to Elvin Harms, it was not clear if Helium would be available before the end of February. Stephen presented a box to Giulio for Michelle which is designed to protect the laser from being fired too rapidly. Matt reported that as well as the 2 really dead counters in FCal 2000, there were 3 counters which had shown no signal but were now showing a signal. There was a brief discussion on the difference in meaning between dodgy and flak(e)y. Matt will check the connections thoroughly. Seon-Hee is looking at the laser calibration. Stephen suggested a number of basic plots to make. Paolo has turned off the crates in the pit and done some gas-work. He has installed 3 new working visual scalers. Jason has been analysing the timing data taken at the end of the run. He has come up with (in Stephen's opinion) an ingenious scheme which both improves the uniformity of the minbias timing and reduces the delay in generating the neutral trigger strobe. He reported a problem with the data base which may be well known that the cmass variable has a habit of being set to 3.26 GeV. Giulio said he is investigating the eta and sigmap calculations. Stephen
