Good Evening- Today saw tank 4 continue to pump down slowly. In order to hasten its progress, it was cooled down with lN2. By late this evening it was cold and ion pumps on the tank read in the 10-9 range. It is being slowly warmed up and RGA readings will commence on Sunday both warm and cold. It will be thermally cycled a total of three times. Another reason for cooling it down was to get an idea of how long a thermal cycle requires. A gas warmer is in place to hasten warm-up. Tank 1 was closed up this morning and is pumping down. It will receive nearly the same treatment as #4 once the ion pumps are on. Sunday should prove to be a pivotal, I expect positive, day. The surveyors, etc. are poised to get the tanks in place on Monday if things go exceedingly well tomorrow. Regards, Elvin
