Run Summary:

5499 pedestal run
5500 pedestal run (after FERA change)
5501 chi0 background (3426 MeV)
     beginning current: 48.5 mA
     final current    : 43.3 mA 
     total luminosity : 242.5 nb-1

Comments:

12:08 Deceleration to 3426 Mev complete with 49.3 mA.
12:55 There was a CAMAC initialization failure after pedestal run 5499.
      This was due to a bad SciFi FERA. WB and KG changed the FERA in record
      time.
1:18  After a second pedestal run, run 5501 begins.
      The rates for many of the triggers (ones dependant on the CCAL)
      started out unusually high compared to the others. After about 10
      minutes they mysteriously dropped to an acceptable level. An HV check
      did not reveal anything unusual about the HV settings.

The vertical emittance of the beam was jumping around for most of the run,
thus we experienced large losses of beam current. The people at AP10 have
been trying to figure out the beam instabilities.
