On shift: RR and SP...KG in attendance for first 1.25 hrs. Beam at start: 44.5 mA (very nice beam too) Ecm 3416 MeV Beam at end: 39.2 mA Log book #7 pp 102 - 105 Runs: 5527 (inherited) 256 nb-1 5528 65 nb-1 stopped for LN2 problem (see below) 5530 in progress Narrative: From 8 am to noon - reasonable running with DAQ hangs every minute or two (probably synchronization errors) From noon to 15:30 - no LN2 for gas-jet (Matt first noticed an alarm on the gas-jet display) because of a problem in the central LN2 system. There was no LN2 for our systems at all. The gas-jet cold trap warmed up, was under purge till the LN2 came back and then had to cool down and then had to be replenished. The last two stages took about 90 minutes. Bruce Lambin came in to look at the VLPC cryogenic system which lost ~60 liters of helium but otherwise seems OK. We have experienced 3 types of DAQ problems - which Keith knows all about. DYC3#15 (fiber TDC's) has VSN's out of sequence (announced on screen) DYC3# 5 (straw TDC's) has the data in light on (ie someone has not "passed") (not shown on screen). Synchronization errors on stream 0 (crates 1,2 etc) Data taking resumed at 15:30 Bon voyage: Stephen and Roger
