 Summary:
 The Etot rate for the first part of the shift was about 50 
 percent low. Jason, Ezio and Stephen have taken some time to
 look into the problem, without finding any obvious cause.
 From the offline analysis of the data JK has convinced himself
 that the thresholds have changed when the crate was replaced.
 At about 15:30 the DAQ stopped and the run aborted itself with an
 error on tape drive 7 (could not write data). Since this happened
 early in run 5639 we decided to overwrite the tapes, with the
 exception of the tape from drive 7, which we replaced. Jason
 took this opportunity to change the gen file to try and fix the
 above problem with the Etot trigger. We then took a nolog run
 (5640) to check that the Etot rates had gone back to normal level,
 and then we started a new run (5641) on the same tape drives as 5639.
 We started off at 8 with a beam width of 450 KeV (sigma, in the CM);
 now we are down to 280-300 KeV and very pleased with that.
