On Shift: ZM, PZ, KEG (1st half) Logbook #7 pages 245-251 Run Summary: 5694 Initial Current: 45.1 mA Final Current: 41.1 mA Integrated Lum: 194.36 nb-1 5695 (Started and handed over to Owl shift) Initial Current: 41.0 mA Comments: Beginning of new stack 6 DAQ hangs during shift 16:50 Mainframes 4 and 6 do not respond during "restore" procedure. Powercycled twice and got response. 17:05 Pedestals taken and written to database. 17:20 Turned on the gas jet. Adjusted the density and the pressure ran very high. Turned off gas jet. When the pressure ran high, the beam current dropped ~5 mA. Beam current at 50.13 mA. 17:55 Beam loss is high (max ~20mA/hr), but the rate is getting better. 17:58 Run 5693 stopped because the ACNET data is not being recorded. 18:37 Giulio called saying the beam appears fairly stable. Present beam current is 44.3 mA. 20:15 ACK Alarm on gas jet. 20:22 Run 5694 ended because drive 8 isn't recording data. 21:30 MCR called and said that the beam looks good. They think the higher beam loss ( ~1.5 mA/hr) might be from the gas jet density. The rest of the shift (Run 5695) went very smooth. A couple of DAQ hangs, accounted for above. Good Night and Good Luck, Pete and Zaza
