7/12/00 Evening Shift Summary: (Log Book: #8, p.188-193) On shift: DC,MG Data Type: 1p1 (Ecm=3526.2 MeV) Total lumonisity so far: 899 nb^-1 Beam current at start: 23 mA . Beam current at end: 16 mA . Typical Luminosity: 3 x 10^31 cm^-2s^-1 Typical Ecm ~ 0.25 MeV Run: 7010 (299.5 nb-1) inherited 7011 (300.5 nb-1) 7012 aborted--see below 7013 diagnostic 7014 in-progress Comments: 16:45--A set of SciFi were found to have tripped--Reset 20:00--CCAL TDC hit map showed no hits for R17W33-64. KEG replaced the appropriate TDC module and then the CAMAC crate refused to power up...the fuses were examined and found to be ok. The power supply was removed and examined more closely. The fuses were checked again and found to be blown. I see two possible explanations: 1) The fuses somehow blew in transit from the back of the CAMAC crate to the table...or 2) MG does not yet know how to use an Ohm-meter... Regardless, the fuses were changed and we see TDC hits in R17W33-64. 22:45--A few hangs accompanied by a bunch of MURMUR messages for VSN out of order in DYC 9 (in the same crate as the replaced TDC)...KEG recommends reducing the density. Good Night, Dave, Matt
