July 27 - August 3
Osaka, Japan
Keith Gollwitzer (Fermilab)
I presented a talked entitled "First
results from E835 data taking in 2000" and proceedings
were written.
The following eps files are available:
-
Invarinat mass plots for the e+e- events (two histograms in each plot are
described below)
-
psi' data set: clear histo is charged tracks
and shaded histo is EW1*EW2 >10
-
chi_2 data set (not shown): clear histo is
charged tracks and shaded histo is EW1*EW2 >10
-
chi_1 data set: clear histo is charged tracks
and shaded histo is EW1*EW2 >10
-
chi_0 data set: clear histo is EW1*EW2 >10
and shaded histo is EW1*EW2 >10 & Prob(J/psi gamma) > 0.01
-
1P1 (h_c) data set: clear histo is EW1*EW2 >10
and shaded histo is EW1*EW2 >10 & [Prob(J/psi gamma) > 0.01 OR Prob(J/psi
2gamma) > 0.01]
-
The resonance plots
-
The two photon invariant mass for events EW1*EW2 >10 & Prob(J/psi
2gamma) > 0.01
There are also two talks that I attended which quoted new preliminary numbers
for charmonium.
-
Yongsheng Zhu (Chinese Academy of Sciences) presented "Recent
results of psi(2S) decays from BES"; the following slides are of particular
relevance --
-
BES I and BES II physics program Slide
3
-
Branching Ratios of J/psi and psi to baryon-antibaryon Slide
7 and Slide
8
-
Branching ratios of chi_0,2->2pi0 ,2eta Slide
9
-
eta_c mass and width measurement from radiative transition of J/psi and
psi' Slide
10 and the 4 prong mass Slide
11 (note interesting curvature of background parameterization).
-
Attepmt to measure psi' width (no preliminary numbers given) Slide
12 and data plotted Slide

-
Yuichi Kubota (University of Minnesota) presented "Two
photon production of the eta_c"; the following slides are of particular
relevance (note that all E835 numbers are from M. Stancari's presentation
at PHOTON99)
